The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification is designed to help small, minority and women-owned businesses have a competitive advantage when bidding for government contracts.

Attendees will receive hands on assistance in completing the application process, be partnered with an analyst for any questions, and have their applications EXPEDITED (for qualified firms).

To be certified as a DBE, a firm must be a small business owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals.

The main objectives of the DBE Program are: 

  • To ensure that small disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE) can compete fairly for federally funded transportation-related projects.
  • To ensure that only eligible firms participate as DBEs.
  • To assist DBE firms in competing outside the DBE Program.
